First of all a word or two about our name.
Definition (from Urban Dictionary): Suck it and See.
A charming British expression referring to trying something different or unknown. A metaphor - the new thing is like a boiled sweet, the unknown consequence the flavour, so you 'Suck it and See'.
Brighton is by the sea, hence the play on words – so it's just a bad pun. Any smutty connotations are in the mind of the beholder. You naughty people.
For four years, Suck it and Sea sold sweets to the good residents and visitors of Brighton from its base in Trafalgar Street in the bohemian North Laine area of Brighton.
Although the shop closed in June 2011, Suck it and Sea online still provides tons of old time and modern favourites, tuck-shop classics, fudge, rock and gifts. We provide sweets for local pubs, clubs and hotels and cater for corporate events. We have helped to make numerous celebrations that little bit sweeter with our tailor-made packages for weddings, parties and other occasions.
