    Liquorice and Aniseed

    A shop page specially devoted to the wonders of liquorice and aniseed. Liquorice has been used for centuries in both herbal medicine and confectionery. It is renowned as both an aid to digestion (i.e. it keeps you regular) and a remedy for coughs and other respiratory disorders. It's powerful stuff though and should be eaten in moderation if you suffer from high blood pressure.

    Aniseed also tastes wonderful and is a herbal remedy for indigestion and bloating.

    Fudge and Nougat

    We looked far and wide for the best fudge that we could find and here it is. It is made by the Dorset Sweet Company, using traditional methods and the finest ingredients. The creamy fudge has won a silver Taste of Britain award and forms the base for all of the block fudge. We are reliably informed by Scottish customers that the Tablet is the nearest thing to what their Grannies used to make that they have tasted.

    Sugar Free Selection

    All of our sugar free sweets are suitable for Diabetics. They use Maltilose or Isomalt as a sugar substitute and none of them contain Aspartame, Asesulfame K or other sweeteners with possible health risks. 

    Please note, however, that excessive consumption may have slightly - ahem - embarrassing consequences and may result in you having to leave the room quickly if in polite company. 

Once upon a time there was a funky little retro sweet shop, in the heart of Brighton, on the sunny Sussex coast in the south of England. The sweetshop was called Suck it and Sea, which made people laugh as it was a bad pun and sounded a bit naughty! 

People flocked from far and wide to sample the fantastic range of traditional and modern sweets and candies you could get at Suck it and Sea.

One day the big, bad economic wolf came to Brighton and lots of little shops like Suck it and Sea had to close. It was a very, very sad day.

But people still wanted Suck it and Sea's sweets, and found they could do so through its magical website. And don't forget, we can cater for all sorts of events, celebrations and corporate clients too.
